Currently and forever owned by the state because of its location in the watershed area along the river. Park District has lease agreement. Campground: open April 1 - December 31 with 24 "primitive" sites (no hook up for water or electric) at $15 per site per night. Sandusky County youth groups free with two weeks notice. Each site has table and fire ring. Wolf Creek reservable facility: picnic shelter - $40 Sandusky County residents, $50 non-residents, 10 tables, 60-80 people. When not reserved, shelter is on a first come, first serve basis. Facility also includes play equipment, grills, well water, restrooms, open play area, nature trails, access to Sandusky River for canoeing or fishing. Ohio's Buckeye Trail statewide hiking trail, runs through Wolf Creek Park. MULL COVERED BRIDGE - 1/2 acre Constructed in 1851. One of the last remaining covered bridges in Northwest Ohio. Managed in cooperation with County Commissioners and County Engineer. BLUE HERON RESERVE - 160 acres Acquired by donation from The Nature Conservancy and a federal LWCF (Land & Water Conservation Fund) grant. Unique natural features such as a calcareous fen, seasonal wetlands, grassy trail, and a mile of boardwalk trail made of recycled plastic lumber, made possible with a grant from OSS Joint Solid Waste District and ODNR NatureWorks Program. COUNTRYSIDE PARK Countryside Park Shelter: $40 Sandusky County residents, $50 non-residents, 10 tables, 60-80 people. When not reserved, shelter is on a first come, first serve basis. Facility also includes, grassy areas for play, tables, grills, restroom (May-October), gazebo, composting display, and gardens. Paved walking path (approx. 1000 ft.) for walkers, strollers, wheelchairs (skateboards, roller blades prohibited since the path is commonly used by nursing home residents). Shelter built by Park District with funding from Countryside Continuing Care Center. NORTH COAST INLAND TRAIL 8 mile abandoned rail line converted to paved hike/bike path with ODOT funding. Path is open year-round for walking, jogging, bicycling, in-line skates, strollers, - no motorized vehicles permitted (except handicap assistance vehicles). Creek
Bend Farm
- 187 acres The Park District intends to develop a 1930’s-1950’s era farm park with existing fields, Muddy Creek corridor, and numerous farm buildings. The property is currently closed to the public except for scheduled program use. Tours are available to any interested clubs or organizations and may be scheduled by calling the Park District Office: 419-334-4495. GREEN CREEK TOWNSHIP PROPERTY - 90 acres
